
Mumbai, March 3: The celebration of Holi has commenced among TV celebrities in Juhu, Mumbai. A grand event took place at the JVPDA ground, attracting major stars from the television industry.
Notable Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Puri also attended the festivities. For her, this Holi is particularly lucky as her new film is set to release soon. In an exclusive interview, she shared, “I stay in Mumbai every year for Holi because I believe no other place celebrates it like here. It’s a great opportunity to meet everyone, and this year is special as my film releases on Wednesday, and I am very excited about it.”
Reflecting on her childhood memories, Akanksha reminisced about playing Holi in the streets of Indore, enjoying jalebi, poha, and samosas, and playfully dunking each other in water tanks. She expressed a longing to relive those moments.
Adrija Roy from the popular show “Anupama” also joined the celebrations at the JVPDA ground. She remarked, “Nothing compares to the Holi of my hometown. I miss it a lot, but I have been celebrating Holi here for the past four years.” Actor Aman Gandhi shared his excitement for the festival, stating that Holi is his favorite celebration. He mentioned that he had been preparing for Holi since the previous night and enjoys not just the games but also the food, particularly gujiya, although he avoids bhang.
Award-winning Bollywood DJ Shahdo is also thrilled about Holi, having traveled from Dubai specifically to celebrate in Mumbai. He noted that the festival connects him to music, and they celebrate Holi with all their hearts.
