Trump Engaged in Russia-Ukraine Peace Efforts: White House

Washington, 27 January – The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump remains actively involved in efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. However, no direct phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently scheduled.

During the regular Monday press briefing, Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt stated that the President is closely monitoring diplomatic efforts and continues to work towards resolving the war through dialogue. She emphasized that President Trump is seriously engaged in the matter and receives regular updates from his advisers on all new developments.

Carolyn Leavitt clarified that there is no planned phone conversation between President Trump and President Putin this week. Despite this, diplomatic initiatives by the United States continue without interruption.

She added that in recent days, American officials have held multiple talks at various levels in coordination with other countries. President Trump has tasked his senior officials with maintaining continuous contact to bring both parties to the negotiating table.

The Press Secretary also described recent meetings involving U.S. special envoys as historic. Representatives from both warring sides participated to discuss possible ways to end the conflict. She noted that the President’s team is actively taking steps toward peace.

Highlighting the President’s commitment, Carolyn Leavitt said, “The President has not abandoned the peace process. Diplomacy remains a key priority on his foreign policy agenda.”

The Russia-Ukraine war has now entered its fourth year. President Trump is making determined efforts to achieve a ceasefire or a political solution between the two countries. Since the outbreak of the war, the United States has played a significant role in diplomatic and security measures related to the conflict.

The U.S. role in the Russia-Ukraine crisis continues to be important for many countries, including India. Its impact is felt on global security, energy markets, and the balance of power in Europe.
