
New Delhi, February 11: On the death anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, a founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Sangh, several prominent BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, paid their respects. Amit Shah remarked that Upadhyaya will continue to inspire countless generations in nation-building.
In a post on the social media platform X, Shah stated, “On the death anniversary of the great nation-builder, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, who was the proponent of Antyodaya and Integral Humanism, I pay my heartfelt tributes. His philosophy that the development of the person standing at the last line represents the nation’s development will inspire generations to come.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also expressed his homage, writing, “On the death anniversary of our guiding light, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, the proponent of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya, I offer my humble salutations. His ascetic life was dedicated to serving the nation. His ideology for national reconstruction will continue to inspire for centuries.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute by stating, “In the double-engine government, the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is a living expression of his thoughts. Inspired by Pandit Ji’s ideals, the state government is fully committed to uplifting villages, the poor, farmers, women, and those at the last rung of society.”
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma noted, “From being a volunteer in the Sangh to the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Sangh, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s intellectual and organizational contributions signify a value-based vision in Indian politics. Through ‘Antyodaya’ and ‘Integral Humanism,’ he linked nation-building with social harmony, service, and self-reliance. On his death anniversary, we remember his thoughts and public life with gratitude.”
BJP National President Nitin Naveen added, “On the death anniversary of our guiding light, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, a symbol of national service and dedication, I offer my deepest respects. His ideologies of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya have established the spirit of service as the soul of politics, which will always provide direction and inspiration on the path of nation-building.”
