Tragic Incident Claims Lives of Three Young Girls in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh

Mumbai, May 23: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. On Saturday morning, three young girls, including two sisters, drowned in a well in the village of Sagaur, located under the Gairatganj tehsil police station. The village is now engulfed in mourning following this tragic event. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

According to reports, around 11 AM on Saturday, two daughters of Halkeram, a tribal resident of Sagaur, Kumari Radha (12) and Kumari Tanu, along with Amrita, the 12-year-old daughter of Ramgopal, went to fetch water from a well situated about a kilometer away from their village.

It is said that while filling water, the girls began to bathe in the well. During this time, one girl lost her balance, and in an attempt to rescue her, the other two girls also fell into the well. Within moments, all three drowned in the deep water.

A nearby girl, Amina, panicked and rushed back to the village to inform the locals about the incident. Upon receiving the news, a large number of villagers arrived at the scene and, after considerable effort, managed to retrieve the three girls from the well. They were immediately taken to the civil hospital in Gairatganj, where doctors declared them dead after examination. The news of the tragedy left the families in deep sorrow, and a wave of grief has swept through the entire village. The police have commenced an investigation into the incident.

In a related incident, a young man drowned while bathing in a dam in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Upon receiving the information, the officer in charge of the BBD police station, along with police personnel, quickly reached the scene and retrieved the submerged individual, identified as Suraj Kumar (28), son of Ramswaroop from Sarai Sheikh, BBD police station area. When he was pulled out, he was still breathing and was rushed to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was later pronounced dead after examination.
