Jamshedpur, September 24 (Daily Kiran) : A devastating car accident in Jamshedpur early Thursday morning has claimed the lives of four promising young individuals, shattering the joy of their families. The incident occurred near Marine Drive, where an out-of-control car collided with a stationary truck, resulting in a tragic outcome.
Among the deceased is 18-year-old Trisha Singh, daughter of Jharkhand’s Minister Deepika Pandey Singh. Alongside Trisha, her three friends—Sarthak Agarwal, Naman Gupta, and Vanshika Khandelwal—also lost their lives. The group had gathered at a friend’s house on Wednesday night for studies before deciding to take a drive.
The collision was so severe that the car was completely wrecked, and all four young adults died at the scene. As news of the tragedy spread, a pall of gloom descended over families in both Ranchi and Jamshedpur. Trisha Singh’s body was brought to her mother’s residence in Ranchi later that evening.
When the final rites took place at the Dhurwa crematorium, the atmosphere was heavy with sorrow, compounded by heavy rain. Trisha’s father, Ratnesh Singh, performed the last rites, visibly shaken as he bid farewell to his beloved daughter. The heart-wrenching cries of family and friends left many attendees in tears.
Upon hearing of the incident, Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren visited the minister’s residence to pay their respects. They expressed their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family during this unimaginable time.
Other dignitaries, including Cabinet Ministers Irfan Ansari, Yogendra Prasad, and Radha Krishna Kishore, as well as several high-ranking officials, also visited to offer their support.
In light of this tragic event and the untimely loss of four young lives, the state government has postponed the Jharkhand Cabinet meeting scheduled for September 25. This decision was officially announced by the Cabinet Secretariat and Monitoring Department on Thursday.
