New Delhi, October 28 (Daily Kiran): Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reported an impressive sales surge in September 2025, driven by strong demand for its hybrid SUVs — the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova HyCross. Supported by festive season momentum and GST reforms, the company registered a 13.81% year-on-year (YoY) growth, selling a total of 27,089 units.
Hyryder Leads Toyota’s Lineup
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder emerged as Toyota’s best-selling model in September with 7,608 units sold, marking a robust 41.28% YoY growth. However, sales dipped 16.40% month-on-month (MoM) compared to August 2025, when 9,100 units were sold.
HyCross Continues Its Upward Trend
The Innova HyCross, which recently earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, maintained strong demand with 6,436 units sold in September. The model saw a 39.73% YoY and 10.45% MoM increase, reflecting growing consumer confidence in Toyota’s hybrid lineup.
Rumion’s Stunning Comeback
The Rumion surprised everyone with a sharp turnaround — while its YoY sales dropped by 57.88%, its MoM growth skyrocketed by 1119.12%, rising from just 68 units in August to 829 units in September.
Fortuner Shines; Crysta and Glanza Slow Down
The popular Fortuner performed well, achieving notable YoY and MoM growth with 2,783 units sold. Meanwhile, both the Innova Crysta and Glanza witnessed a slight MoM decline, though Glanza maintained a modest YoY gain. Toyota’s Hilux and Camry also posted strong annual growth, while the Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300 (LC300) showed improved month-on-month performance.
Q3 2025: A Strong Quarter for Toyota
For the July–September quarter, Toyota sold 85,550 units, a 4.43% increase compared to Q3 2024. The company’s hybrid portfolio led the charge — Hyryder sales grew 31.98% (25,522 units), while HyCross saw a 22.19% rise (18,070 units). The Fortuner also grew 18.54% (8,524 units) in Q3, and Camry’s sales climbed 12.04%. However, the Innova Crysta experienced a 21.19% decline, indicating a clear customer shift toward the newer HyCross.
