Chennai, Mar 30 : The Tamil Nadu Assembly, which will resume its sitting on April six will continue till May 10, Speaker M Appavu said today. Talking to reporters here after a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee at his chamber to decide on the duration of the session, he said the session will last till May 10. During the session demand for grants for various departments will be taken up followed by replies from the concerned Ministers. The demand for grants for Water Resources department will be taken up on April six, followed by the other departments in the subsequent days. The Budget session of the Assembly started on March 18 with the presentation of General budget by Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan followed by the tabling of Agriculture Budget by Agriculture Minister MRK Panneerselvam on March 19. After a four-day session from March 21, during which the debate on the budget took place, both the Ministers gave their replies and the session was adjourned on March 25. GV 1231
