TMC Unveils Star Campaigners for Bengal Elections, Led by CM Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata, April 8: The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) has submitted its list of star campaigners to the Election Commission for the second phase of the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections in 2026. This list features prominent leaders, including Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The party’s Vice President, Subrata Bakshi, sent a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, attaching the list of star campaigners for the second phase. The elections in West Bengal will occur in two phases, with the first phase on April 23 and the second on April 29. The counting of votes is scheduled for May 4.

The TMC’s list includes CM Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, Subrata Bakshi, Chandrima Bhattacharya, Firhad Hakim, Arup Biswas, Kalyan Banerjee, Dr. Manas Ranjan Bhuniya, Dr. Shashi Panja, Bratya Basu, Birbaha Hansda, Shatrughan Sinha, Jay Prakash Majumdar, Kunal Ghosh, Deepak Adhikari (Dev), Mahua Moitra, Kirti Azad, Satabdi Roy, Partha Bhowmik, and Sayoni Ghosh.

Additionally, other significant names on the list include June Maliya, Yusuf Pathan, Rachna Banerjee, Aditi Munshi, Dr. Tapas Mandal, Vivek Gupta, Pratima Mandal, Babul Supriyo, Mamta Thakur, Koyal Mallick, Prakash Chik Baraiak, Nusrat Jahan, Sourav Chandra, Raj Chakraborty, Mosaraf Hossain, Anubrata Mandal, Prateek Ur Rahman, Jyotsna Mandi, Sayantika Banerjee, and Shreekant Mahto.

This list is part of the party’s strategy to strengthen its electoral campaign. The Trinamool Congress aims to launch an extensive campaign across 142 assembly seats in the second phase using these star campaigners. The list includes senior leaders, MPs, MLAs, film personalities, and young faces, all of whom will help expand the party’s reach in various sectors.

Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee remain the main campaigners for the party. Meanwhile, figures like Shatrughan Sinha, Deepak Adhikari (Dev), Mahua Moitra, Babul Supriyo, and Nusrat Jahan are expected to draw additional attention to the party.
