Kolkata, May 14: TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee delivered an emotional message to party workers on Thursday. In a video posted on social media platform X, he referred to every party worker as a soldier, expressing gratitude for their courage, patience, and relentless fight for justice.
Banerjee acknowledged that despite facing a challenging and compromised election, the workers did not lose hope. He alleged that in many areas, party candidates and counting agents were forcibly removed, and that central government employees influenced the counting process.
The TMC leader expressed concern over the violence that erupted following the election results in West Bengal. He noted that despite assurances of security from the central government, shocking violence was witnessed in the state. He accused central forces of remaining passive while attacks and arson targeted party workers, offices, and homes. Banerjee extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this violence, stating that Bengal has endured much in recent days, and such incidents go against the state’s core spirit.
He made it clear that the fight is not over. Banerjee stated that all forms of alleged irregularities, manipulation, and abuse of power would be challenged through constitutional and legal means. He expressed full confidence in the Supreme Court and the country’s democratic institutions. He claimed that over 100 candidates and counting agents were forcibly removed, leading to serious irregularities that undermined the public mandate. He emphasized that the truth cannot be suppressed forever and that every injustice faced by the people of Bengal would be raised with strength and determination.
Banerjee reminded the people of Bengal that they know who stood by them in difficult times. He urged everyone to continue demonstrating patience, unity, and resilience. “The truth cannot be suppressed forever. We will return even stronger,” he declared.
He advised party workers to stay united and remain grounded. They should continue serving the people with courage, discipline, and positivity. “Our fight will continue with unwavering determination and complete faith in democracy,” he concluded.
