
New Delhi, March 31: The 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently underway. Let’s take a look at three players who have represented seven or more franchises in this league.
Aaron Finch: The Australian batsman has played for a record nine teams in his IPL career. Finch debuted in the league in 2009/10 with the Rajasthan Royals, followed by stints with the Delhi Capitals in 2011 and 2012.
In IPL 2013, Finch played 14 matches for Pune Warriors India, and in 2014, he appeared in 13 games for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2015, he joined the Mumbai Indians, where he played three matches. Over the next two seasons, he represented Gujarat Lions, playing 13 matches each year. In 2018, Finch was with Punjab Kings, and in 2020, he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Most recently, in IPL 2022, he was part of Kolkata Knight Riders.
Jaydev Unadkat: This Indian fast bowler has played for eight franchises in the IPL. He started with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2009/10, and continued with them in 2011 and 2012. He then joined Delhi Capitals for two seasons. In 2016, he returned to KKR but only featured in one match that season.
From 2018 to 2021, Unadkat donned the jersey of Rajasthan Royals. After joining Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022, he played for Lucknow Super Giants the following year. In the last three seasons, he has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Manish Pandey: This right-handed batsman played three matches for Mumbai Indians in 2008, before moving to Royal Challengers Bangalore for the next two seasons. Between 2011 and 2013, he played for Pune Warriors India, and from 2014 to 2017, he was with KKR.
In 2019, Pandey joined Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he played for four seasons. He then moved to Lucknow Super Giants in 2022, appearing in six matches. In IPL 2024 and 2025, he played a total of four matches for KKR.
