The Transformative Role of Military Schools in Nation Building: Arunachal Pradesh Governor

New Delhi, May 25: Arunachal Pradesh Governor K.T. Parnaik emphasized the significant role of military schools in shaping disciplined, patriotic, and service-oriented youth for nation building. He made these remarks during the annual conference of military schools held at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.

Notable alumni from the Rewa Military School, including Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi, retired Lieutenant General Dushyant Chauhan, and retired Air Marshal P.K. Roy, were present at the event.

Governor Parnaik stated that military schools have played a transformative role by nurturing generations of disciplined, patriotic, and service-oriented youth. He highlighted that the focus on character, discipline, leadership, academic excellence, and national spirit has helped shape responsible citizens committed to serving the nation.

He noted that these institutions continuously produce officers, administrators, professionals, and public servants who have made invaluable contributions to India’s development and security.

The governor pointed out that the courage and professionalism displayed by the Indian Armed Forces during operations like ‘Operation Sindoor’ reflect the dedication, readiness, and patriotism that military schools aim to instill in young minds.

As India progresses towards becoming a developed nation, he asserted that military schools will remain crucial institutions in fostering disciplined leadership, national unity, and a capable generation to safeguard and advance the future of the nation.

Rewa Military School holds a special place in India’s educational and military history. Since its establishment in 1962, the institution has produced distinguished alumni who have excelled in the armed forces, civil services, sports, and various fields of public life.
