Bharatpur, April 15: Akshaya Tritiya holds immense significance in Sanatan Dharma. According to the Narada Purana, it is believed that on this day, Goddess Ganga descended to Earth. The temple complex also features a large bell whose sound resonates throughout the area. The temple is open daily from 6 AM to 8 PM, with morning and evening aartis being special attractions. Significant festivals such as Ganga Dussehra, Ganga Saptami, and Akshaya Tritiya are celebrated here with great enthusiasm.
Located in the heart of Bharatpur, the Ganga Temple is easily accessible by bus or taxi from Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra.
