Thailand and Malaysia urge citizens to avoid travel to European nations facing protests, particularly France and Italy, due to safety concerns.

Bangkok, October 22 (Daily Kiran) : Thailand and Malaysia have issued advisories urging their citizens to avoid traveling to European countries experiencing ongoing protests. Thailand has recommended postponing non-essential travel, while Malaysia has specifically warned against visiting France.
During a press briefing in Italy late Wednesday, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Surapong Tovichakchaikul, emphasized the need for travelers from Thailand to closely monitor conditions in Europe as the situation is rapidly evolving. He advised checking in with Thai embassies and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for updates, noting ongoing concerns in France where stability has yet to be restored.
Surapong also referenced the protests in Italy, which led to the cancellation of a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart due to urgent government discussions prompted by the unrest. He expressed similar worries regarding Spain, suggesting that if travel is not absolutely necessary, it may be wise to delay plans.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian embassy in Paris has advised its citizens to exercise caution and remain vigilant in light of the protests. The Malaysian Foreign Ministry is actively monitoring the situation and has suggested that citizens consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
Earlier, China also warned its citizens traveling to France to take necessary security precautions. Reports indicated that over the weekend, several town halls and shops in France were looted and set ablaze, prompting various countries to issue travel warnings to their nationals.
