Tensions Rise in West Bengal Politics as Dilip Ghosh Critiques Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata, May 8: Political tensions are escalating once again in West Bengal. Dilip Ghosh, the elected BJP MLA from Salt Lake, has sharply criticized TMC chief Mamata Banerjee following her meeting with Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav.

Ghosh stated in a media interaction that Mamata Banerjee appears to be in a state of confusion. He suggested that outside influences are affecting her judgment, leading to a lack of clarity in her understanding of the situation. He added, somewhat sarcastically, that if she were to fall, it could result in serious injury, one that might never fully heal.

The meeting in question took place on Thursday in Kolkata, where Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party, met with Mamata Banerjee. TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee was also present, welcoming Yadav with a hug.

During his conversation with the media, Yadav targeted the BJP, claiming that Mamata Banerjee is a thorn in their side because she represents half the population—women. He accused the BJP of harboring feudalistic ideologies and suggested that its allies possess a patriarchal mindset. Yadav emphasized that the BJP does not want to see women progress.

In addition, Dilip Ghosh responded to the recent murder of Chandranath Rath, the personal assistant of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari. He described the incident as extremely unfortunate, asserting that such occurrences should not happen and must be prevented.

Ghosh remarked that some individuals are exhibiting aggressive behavior until a new government is established, inciting violence among the populace. He claimed that once a new government is in place, these issues will cease permanently.
