Hyderabad, September 3 (Daily Kiran) : Telangana’s Revenue and Housing Minister, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, has responded to comments made by K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), the executive president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), regarding his family’s foray into the aerospace sector. KTR had previously questioned Srinivas Reddy’s family entering the aerospace industry on social media.
In a post on the platform X, KTR had criticized the launch of “Raghav Aerospace and Defense” by Reddy’s family. He remarked, “After the CM’s brother entered aerospace and defense, now the revenue minister’s family is also joining the industry. I believe these are the same two great companies that will supposedly provide 200,000 jobs as promised by Rahul Gandhi.”
Srinivas Reddy did not hold back in his rebuttal, targeting KTR and his family with accusations of corruption and illegal activities. He sarcastically referred to KTR as the “professor” of a “Kalvakuntla Academy of Corruption,” where he claimed illegal activities are taught.
Reddy’s post continued with pointed jabs at KTR’s past, including allegations linked to paper leaks in Telangana that resulted in student suicides. He suggested that KTR should offer a masterclass on how to tap phones and seize land through corrupt means, referencing KTR’s family members in the process.
The minister emphasized that he has been in business for over 30 years, building a legitimate enterprise from humble beginnings and creating jobs through honest means. He contrasted this with KTR’s approach, stating, “For you, hard work raises questions, while corruption seems to be acceptable.”
Srinivas Reddy’s remarks highlight the ongoing tensions within Telangana’s political landscape, particularly between the BRS and Congress parties, as they navigate issues of integrity and accountability in governance.
