Hyderabad, March 4 : Keeping his word, Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday handed over cheques of Rs.ten lakhs each to the kin of two jawans who were martyred in Galwan valley during clashes with Chinese troops in 2020. He presented the cheques to the families of the martyred soldiers in the presence of his Jharkhand counterpart Hemant Soren at the latter’s camp office in Ranchi. The members of the soldiers’ families thanked Mr.Rao for his noble gesture. Mr.Rao, who has been camping the in national capital for the last few days arrived in Ranchi by a special flight to a grand welcome. Soon after his arrival in Ranch, Mr.Rao called on Mr.Soren who extended a grand welcome to his Telangana counterpart. It may be recalled that while extending support to martyred colonel Santosh who hailed from Telangana, Mr.Rao had announced that the government would also extend support to the other 19 army personnel who were also martyred in Galwan valley.
