Hyderabad, February 17: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prioritize cleanliness in the Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri municipalities.

During a review meeting on urban administration and development at the state secretariat, the Chief Minister emphasized that litter accumulation in any part of the city will not be tolerated. He announced plans for surprise inspections in various areas.

The Chief Minister instructed the commissioners of the three municipalities to conduct area inspections daily starting at 6 AM. He also directed officials to install smart poles at key intersections and other significant locations in the city. These smart poles will be utilized for power cables, CCTV cameras, and advertising boards.

Additionally, the Chief Minister asked officials to study the feasibility of establishing multi-level parking facilities, including on private land in certain areas. He specifically mentioned exploring the possibility of multi-level parking along Necklace Road.

In a review of advertising revenue policies, the Chief Minister expressed concern over the lower-than-expected revenue despite the presence of numerous advertising boards. He instructed officials to compare Hyderabad’s advertising revenue with that of Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru.

He also mandated strict action against advertisers who harm government revenue and suggested allocating 10% of advertising boards for promoting government welfare schemes.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister directed officials to organize a one-day training program soon for newly elected mayors, deputy mayors, chairpersons, and vice-chairpersons in the state. This program will focus on urban development strategies and governance responsibilities. The Chief Minister stated that he would personally attend the session and engage with the newly elected representatives.
