Telangana BJP Chief challenges CM on drug trafficking

Hyderabad, April 3 : Accusing Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of making the youth addicted to narcotics, state Bharatiya Janata Party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday challenged the chief minister to get all those who were allegedly involved in the drug trafficking and consumption cases arrested, even if they included the BJP leaders. “If you have the guts, ask the police department to arrest all those involved in the consumption and trafficking of drugs and send them to narcotics test. We won’t object if the case involved even the BJP leaders,” Sanjay said while inaugurating the Prime Minister Cup-2022 cricket tournament being organised by Palamuru Charitable Trust at Shadnagar. More than 400 cricketers belonging to various teams, apart from large number of youth, attended the inaugural ceremony of the sports event. Stating that the BJP was very strict in dealing with drug peddlers and users, Sanjay said his party won’t allow them to continue under any circumstances. “At the same time, I shall disclose the names of the TRS leaders and family members of KCR. Does the chief minister have the guts to get them arrested and tested for consumption of drugs?” he asked. He alleged that majority of those involved in the narcotics’ case were from the TRS. “It has become a habit for KCR to create a hungama in the name of conducting inquiry”, he said. Stating that the Narendra Modi government was giving a lot of importance to sports and encouraging sports persons with its Khelo Bharat policy, Sanjay reminded that India, which was struggling to win even silver and bronze medals at Olympics, had won three gold medals and a large number of silver and bronze medals after Modi became the Prime Minister. “While Modi is striving hard for 18 hours a day, KCR is spending 18 hours only for boozing,” he criticised. Sanjay also strongly attacked those who wished Pakistan’s victory whenever India and Pakistan played the cricket match. “We shall drive such traitors away. India ka khana, Pakistan ka gaana nahin chalega,” he said. The BJP president also asked the people to watch Kashmir Files movie. “It has presented how Pakistan-backed terrorists have resorted to genocide in Kashmir,” he said. He took strong exception to the TRS leaders calling the BJP leaders as useless fellows. “I wonder how we are called useless fellows. Is it for asking the government to resolve people’s issues or for demanding that the government should purchase paddy or for asking it to provide sports facilities?” he asked. Stating that he was launching the second phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra from April 14 to put an end to the dictatorial and dynastic rule of KCR, the BJP president called upon all sections of people to bless him and take part in his mission.
