Telangana Aims to Become Global Investment Hub, Says Chief Minister K. Revant Reddy

Telanganas Chief Minister outlines plans to boost the states economy and attract global investment at a recent summit.

Hyderabad, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : Telangana’s Chief Minister K. Revant Reddy announced on Wednesday that the state will be promoted as a premier destination for global investment. Speaking at a global summit organized by the Samakhya Chamber of Commerce, he emphasized the commitment to elevate Telangana’s contribution to India’s GDP from the current five percent to ten percent.

Revant Reddy highlighted the ‘Telangana Rising: Vision Document 2047’ and discussed the main objectives of the state government’s initiatives in the ‘Cure, Pure, and Rare’ sectors. He stated that the goal is to transform Telangana into a trillion-dollar economy by 2034 and a three-trillion-dollar economy by 2047. To achieve this, the state will focus on developing three key areas: Core Urban Region Economy (CURE), Peri-Urban Region Economy (PURE), and Rural Agricultural Region Economy (RARE).

The Chief Minister elaborated on the development of the CURE area, located within the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR), which aims to become a hub for IT and service sectors, as well as advanced technology and innovation. He noted that the PURE sector will promote manufacturing industries, industrial parks, and logistics, while the RARE sector will concentrate on agriculture, food processing, and rural employment.

As India approaches the centenary of its independence in 2047, Revant Reddy acknowledged Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a ‘Developed India‘ by that year. He stressed the importance of collaboration between the state and central governments to meet these ambitious goals.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the focus should remain on development, with politics confined to election periods. He reflected on how Hyderabad has transformed into a world-class city, recalling the historical significance of the Charminar as a landmark for entrepreneurs from India and abroad. Following that, HITEC City emerged as a key investment center.

Revant Reddy called on investors to collaborate with the state government to achieve developmental goals, assuring them of supportive policies and protection for their investments. He also emphasized the need for local entrepreneurs to actively participate in the new industrial policy, encouraging them to invest and grow on a global scale.

He pointed out that local chambers of commerce play a crucial role in understanding modern business practices and adopting new methodologies. Additionally, he mentioned the Telangana government’s initiatives for women’s empowerment, urging the chamber to encourage young and female entrepreneurs to strengthen the economy.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the government has provided women with bank linkage loans amounting to ₹61,000 crores, empowering them to own regional transport buses, petrol stations, and solar power plants.
