In a post on the social media platform X, Yadav stated that armed criminals brazenly looted gold and silver jewelry from a jeweler’s shop in broad daylight. He described how the assailants entered the store without fear, intimidating customers and executing the robbery before fleeing. Yadav emphasized that such open criminal activity in daylight highlights the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar. He pointed out that under the NDA government, traders, common citizens, and women feel increasingly unsafe. He criticized the ruling parties, BJP and JD(U), for being preoccupied with their internal politics while crime escalates.
Manoj Thakur, a jeweler, recounted that around 3 PM, armed robbers stormed into his shop. He mentioned that they were using abusive language, and the sight of their weapons instilled fear among the customers. Thakur estimated that the robbers made off with jewelry worth between one and two crores. He noted that he collaborates with small local traders in the gold and silver business.
Upon receiving news of the robbery, local police and senior officials from Bihar Police arrived at the scene to investigate the matter thoroughly. Police believe that they will utilize nearby CCTV footage to identify the culprits, and they are optimistic about apprehending the robbers soon.
