Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes NDA Government Over Bihar Cabinet Expansion

Patna, May 9: Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on the NDA government regarding the cabinet expansion led by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

Addressing a press conference at the Karpoori Auditorium of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) state office, Tejashwi alleged that the newly expanded cabinet lacks both a vision for development and social balance.

He claimed that the NDA has spent nearly half of the past six months merely on the process of forming the government.

In just six months, Bihar has seen two chief ministers and four deputy chief ministers change. The cabinet expansion announced yesterday reflects neither foresight nor developmental thinking, he stated.

Tejashwi further accused the BJP and JD(U) of having no moral right to criticize dynastic politics. He specifically targeted the inclusion of Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar and Upendra Kushwaha’s son Deepak Prakash in the cabinet.

He questioned how individuals who have never contested elections or received a public mandate could be appointed as ministers.

Tejashwi remarked that during election campaigns, Prime Minister Narendra Modi often spoke about ‘shehzadas’ (princes). Now, BJP and JD(U) leaders must clarify who the real ‘shehzadas’ are.

He also alleged that the new cabinet comprises 17 ministers from political families, including the sons of former chief ministers Nitish Kumar, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Jagannath Mishra.

He asserted that the government is suppressing the voices of unemployed youth demanding jobs.

When students protested for employment, they were met with police brutality. This government aims to forcibly silence the demands of the youth.

The RJD leader claimed that the cabinet expansion has failed to maintain regional, caste, and social balance.
