In this context, Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly, shared a controversial video from Muzaffarpur on social media on Sunday, targeting the Chief Minister and the NDA government.
Tejashwi Yadav, the national executive president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), alleged through the video that a physical assault occurred in the presence of a BJP legislator, yet the voices of the victims remain unheard. He further claimed that actions are being taken based on the caste of the criminals involved.
In his post on the social networking site X, Tejashwi not only criticized the government but also took aim at the media. He wrote, “This is the BJP’s legislator from Muzaffarpur, who, along with two dozen henchmen, enters the homes of common people in Ward 48, creating chaos and disregarding the law. Anyone who speaks against him could face dire consequences.”
He raised a critical question, asking, “Does the boastful Chief Minister have the courage to take action against the goon legislator? The CM lacks the courage because he will first consider caste; the victims’ voices go unheard. The compliant media would only report if the opposition’s MLA were involved.”
Tejashwi has previously accused the government of acting swiftly against opposition leaders while remaining silent when it comes to their own party’s legislators. Following his post, there are expectations of increased tension in the state’s political arena, as opposition leaders continue to hold the government accountable for the state’s law and order situation.
