Tata Motors trades higher after hiking prices of passenger vehicles

Tata Motors scrip is currently trading at Rs. 430.70, up by 5.35 points or 1.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 425.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 427.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 435.15 and Rs. 427.25 respectively. So far 656400 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 536.50 on 17-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 366.05 on 12-May-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 435.15 and Rs. 411.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 143063.56 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.40%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.02% and 24.58% respectively.

Tata Motors has hiked marginal prices across its passenger vehicles. Effective November 7, 2022, weighted average increase will be 0.9%, depending on the variant and model.

he company has been absorbing a significant portion of the increased prices of passenger vehicles costs but the steep rise in overall input costs has compelled it to pass on some proportion through this minimal price hike.
