Tamil Nadus TTV Dhinakaran Questions Stability of Chief Minister Vijays Government

Chennai, May 17: TTV Dhinakaran, the General Secretary of the AMMK, launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and the ruling TVK government in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. He raised concerns about the stability of the government, accusing it of compromising its political principles for the sake of power.

Speaking at a press conference in Tiruchi, Dhinakaran stated that the current political arrangement surrounding the TVK government appears unstable, casting doubt on whether the coalition can endure in the coming months.

“I am unsure if Vijay and the leftist parties can remain united for the next six months,” Dhinakaran remarked. He noted that the TVK government is already facing turmoil. Before the elections, they stood together in a coalition, but post-elections, they have shifted towards a different arrangement for power, raising serious questions.

Targeting Chief Minister Vijay, the AMMK leader urged him to step out of the superficial world of social media and focus on governance. “The Chief Minister should move beyond ‘Instagram reels administration’ and concentrate on real governance,” he said.

Dhinakaran also accused Vijay of adopting a contradictory political stance regarding the AIADMK. He pointed out that Vijay had previously labeled the AIADMK as a corrupt party, yet he is now benefiting from the support of AIADMK legislators.

“He called the AIADMK a corrupt party, but now he has accepted support from its legislators. How can this be justified?” Dhinakaran questioned.

In a sharp critique of senior leader K.A. Sengottaiyan, Dhinakaran alleged that there are attempts to weaken the AIADMK from within. He noted that Sengottaiyan keeps a picture of Jayalalithaa in his pocket while trying to destroy the party she built. “Jayalalithaa’s spirit will never forgive those attempting to weaken the AIADMK,” he asserted.

Dhinakaran warned that disciplinary action could be taken against AIADMK legislators supporting the TVK government. He claimed that if AMMK or AIADMK legislators are offered ministerial positions, demands for a CBI investigation will arise. “Such moves will have political repercussions,” he concluded.
