Tamil Nadu’s Inclusive Approach Drives Strong Economic Growth: Stalin

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday highlighted the state’s robust infrastructure and road facilities, supported by a broad and inclusive political approach. He emphasized that the government’s main focus remains on social justice, equality, social harmony, and public welfare. By effectively implementing these principles under the Dravidian model, Tamil Nadu has achieved an impressive economic growth rate of 11.19 percent.

Stalin made these remarks at the NDTV Tamil Nadu Summit held at a hotel in Chennai. He thanked the NDTV Group for organising the summit at a time when political parties in the state are preparing for the 2026 Assembly elections.

The Chief Minister described the Dravidian model as unique among various political models in Indian politics.

He stressed that Tamil Nadu’s development journey was not easy. While facing continuous political pressure from the central government, the state government has been designing and implementing visionary policies. Stalin pointed out that these policies evolve with time and strive to benefit every section of society.

The summit, organised on January 30, 2026, in Chennai, brought together key political voices ahead of the state elections. Besides Chief Minister Stalin, prominent leaders such as Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, opposition leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, and Kamal Haasan participated. The event featured in-depth discussions on topics including the Dravidian economic model, investment strategies, education, health, social justice, and women’s role in politics.

In his speech, Stalin reiterated the success story of the Dravidian model in Tamil Nadu. He also accused the central government of exerting pressure but affirmed that the state remains steadfast in its policies and committed to working in the people’s best interests.
