As per the daily official bulletin, Chennai topped the list recording 1196 cases followed by Thiruvallur with 488 and Chengalpattu with 436.
125 deaths were reported today- 22 in Chennai, 14 in Coimbatore and 8 in Tiruvallur – taking the state’s total tally to 5766.
The total number of cases in Tamil Nadu as of August 16 stands at 3,38,055.
6019 patients were discharged today taking the total number of recoveries in Tamil Nadu to 2,78,270.
