The orders were issued by Chief Secretary M. Sai Kumar in the name of the Governor.

According to the official notification, senior IAS officer N. Muruganandam, who recently returned from leave, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management. He replaces P. Amudha, who was previously in charge.

In another major shift, M.A. Siddiqui has been moved from his role as Additional Chief Secretary and Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited to become the Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department, taking over from T. Udayachandran.

Changes have also been made in the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs. Dr. S. Swarna, who was the Principal Secretary and State Project Director of the National Higher Education Campaign, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments. She replaces Dr. K. Manivasan, who was serving as the interim head of the department.

Additionally, a crucial position related to the state’s liquor sales network under the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation has also seen a change. K. The government order states that the terms of Nanthakumar’s deputation will be determined according to Government Order No. 167, Public (Special-A) Department, issued on February 21, 1994.

This reshuffle comes at a time when the new TVK government, led by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, has initiated administrative changes following its assumption of power on Sunday.
