Swelect Energy Systems trades higher on getting nod to incorporate wholly owned subsidiary

Swelect Energy Systems is currently trading at Rs. 325.00, up by 2.65 points or 0.82% from its previous closing of Rs. 322.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 326.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 326.35 and Rs. 324.95 respectively. So far 26 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘B’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 468.85 on 26-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 221.25 on 20-Dec-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 343.20 and Rs. 310.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 495.09 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.37%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.08% and 43.56% respectively.

Swelect Energy Systems has received approval from board of directors to incorporate wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) in the name and style — ‘SWELECT Taiyo Energy’.

The WOS will engage in setting up of solar power plant once the proposals received from industrials consumers have been materialized and the electricity generated by the WOS will be sold to industrial consumers around Tamil Nadu based on the requirements of the respective consumers.

The Board also approved the investment of Rs 1 lakh in the Equity Capital of the said WOS. The board of directors at its meeting held on October 17, 2022 has approved the same.
