Mumbai, April 9: In the film industry, artists often find themselves in the spotlight for their professional lives. However, the ups and downs of their personal lives can deeply resonate with fans. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, an actress turned author, recently shared her emotional journey following significant family losses.
She revealed the heartbreaking news of her only brother’s passing. Tragically, she has also lost her parents and older sister in a short span of time, leaving her in profound grief.
On her Instagram account, Suchitra posted an old family photo showcasing happier times when they were all together. The image captured her childhood, a period filled with joy and unity.
Accompanying the photo, she wrote a heartfelt caption reflecting on her family’s togetherness. “People always praised the unity and moments we shared as a family. Like any family, we had our disagreements and fights, but we always stood by each other. Once, my family consisted of six members, but now only two of us remain.”
Just days ago, she had shared the news of her brother’s death and reminisced about her parents, sister, and brother in a poignant post. She also mentioned updating the dedication page of her book, stating, “I never thought I would have to do this so soon.”
Suchitra was very close to her brother. In various interviews, she often recounted their playful banter and the support he provided her. Her sister, Sujata Kumar, passed away in 2018 due to cancer. Sujata was well-known for her role as Sridevi’s sister in the film “English Vinglish.”
