Puri, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : On September 28, the world remembers the legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar on her 97th birth anniversary. In Puri, students from the renowned Sudarshan Sand Art Institute have paid a unique tribute to the iconic vocalist.
Monalisa Moharna and Sonali Aluk, two talented students, created a sand art animation to honor Mangeshkar. Their artwork conveys a heartfelt message: “A tribute to Lata Ji on her birthday.”
The animation features a detailed depiction of Lata Mangeshkar, evoking memories of her timeless songs. Through their art, the students aim to express that although she is no longer with us, her voice and music will forever resonate in the hearts of her fans.
Speaking about the creation, Sonali Aluk shared, “As students of the Sudarshan Sand Art Institute, we collaborated to create this artwork for Lata Ji’s 97th birthday. Even though she is no longer among us, she will always live in our hearts. It took us about half an hour to complete this sand art animation.”
Lata Mangeshkar was born on September 28, 1929, in Indore. Over her illustrious career spanning more than seven decades, she lent her voice to over 30,000 songs, elevating Indian music to new heights. Her iconic tracks, such as “Lag Ja Gale,” “Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh,” and “Tera Mera Pyaar Amar,” remain favorites in many playlists today.
She passed away on February 6, 2022, but her melodious voice continues to echo in the hearts of millions.
