Steel Authority of India inches up as its unit supplies 2.9 lakh tonne of special grade steel to Kaleswaram irrigation project

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) is currently trading at Rs. 108.10, up by 0.05 points or 0.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 108.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 107.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 108.80 and Rs. 107.00 respectively. So far 2550070 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 151.10 on 10-May-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 55.30 on 28-Jan-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 112.65 and Rs. 104.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 44733.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.92% and 17.09% respectively.

The supplies is part of the SAIL’s endeavour to strengthen the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The RSP has been making all-out efforts to fulfill the requirements of customized steel products for high-profile infrastructure projects undertaken all over the country.

Steel Authority of India Claimed to be the costliest irrigation project to be taken up in any State in India till date, the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project aims to irrigate around 37 lakh acres in the 15 districts of Telangana. Besides, the project will also be providing drinking water to several small and medium towns and cities of the state, especially to Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
