Chennai, Mar 5 : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin will hold a conference with all districts collectors, police and forest department officials for three days from March 10 to 12. An official release on Saturday said senior government officials will participate in the three-day meet, during which the Chief Minister would review the implementation of various development schemes launched by the 10-month old DMK government. Till date, 1,704 announcements have been made in the form of Governor’s address, CM press releases, statements made by Chief Minister Under the Rule 110 in the State Assembly, General and Agriculture budgets and the announcements made by the Ministers during their reply to the demand for grants for various departments. Of this Government Orders were issued in respect of over 80 per cent of these announcements and they were being implemented. Though every year the Chief Minister used to hold conferences with collectors and police officers, the forest department officials had not taken part in these meets. For the first time, arrangements are made for the participation of Forest department officials in the meeting during which Stalin will review the department’s functioning and review the progress of various schemes. During the three-day conference, the Chief Minister will review the functioning of the district administration, law and order situation in the State, developmental projects in the districts and other schemes. The conference will also discuss on the steps to be taken to implement more schemes in the coming years after ascertaining the needs of people through the district collectors, the release said.
