Noida : A spate of accidents took place in various parts of Uttar Pradesh including Noida, Hamirpur and Bahraich in the early morning of Sunday.
Three traveling in a bus were killed, while 13 persons were injured in an accident that took place on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway at 5 am on Sunday.
A bus hit another bus from behind in the Knowledge Park police station area. All the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital. After the accident, there was a long jam at the spot. The police streamlined the traffic after removing both the vehicles from the road.
Meanwhile, in Hamirpur, three vehicles on the border of Hamirpur-Kanpur. Two youths died, while third was seriously injured. He was brought to Hamirpur Sadar Hospital, from where the doctors referred him to Kanpur while giving first aid.
In Bahraich, fog has started taking toll on the vehicle riders. Due to dense fog on the Lucknow-Bahraich road on Sunday, an ambulance rammed into a sugarcane laden trolley. Five other vehicles also hit each other from behind. Four people were injured in the accident. The highway saw traffic jam due to multiple pile-up of vehicles.
