Lucknow, August 29: Leaders of the Samajwadi Party (SP) have voiced their concerns regarding the recent increase in CNG prices and other pressing issues.
During a discussion, SP MP Avadhesh Prasad stated, “The people of the country and the state are troubled by this government. What prices are not rising? Costs are continuously increasing. The price of sugar has skyrocketed. We have received reports that sugar is selling for 100 rupees per kilogram. CNG prices have also gone up.”
Commenting on the murder of YouTuber Ankit Baliyana, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks were addressed by Avadhesh Prasad, who said, “I have been saying this for a long time, and our leaders have been echoing the same sentiment about the functioning of law and order. It is a straightforward matter. The government operates on trust. No chief minister can reach every city and village, but their trust must extend there. The credibility of the government has completely eroded, resulting in a continuous rise in murders.”
Regarding the free bus service for women during Raksha Bandhan, Avadhesh Prasad remarked, “There was no arrangement made anywhere. The announcement made by the Chief Minister was entirely false. It was not implemented anywhere.”
SP leader Fakhrul Hasan Chand criticized the government for rising CNG prices, stating, “Inflation has surged under the BJP government. The government has only worked to increase prices; petrol is selling for 167 rupees per liter. Prices of sugar, potatoes, and lentils have risen. The BJP government is troubling people by increasing inflation.”
On the issue of the Special Investigation Report (SIR), Fakhrul Hasan Chand mentioned, “The way votes were manipulated in Delhi, Bihar, Maharashtra, Haryana, and West Bengal is evident. The SP believes that the BJP has deliberately collaborated with the Election Commission to remove a large number of voters’ names. If the role of the Election Commission becomes questionable, how will democracy be safeguarded?”
