Lucknow, March 23 : Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has said that the people have given mandate for mass movement to the party and it will struggle on the issues and problems of the people from the house to road through its programmes. Akhilesh on Wednesday paid tributes to Ram Manohar Lohia on his anniversary by paying floral tributes at his statues at Lohia Park here. Addressing party workers and leaders, the SP chief said, “Crores of people of Uttar Pradesh have provided us moral victory and have given mandate for mass movement. SP is committed towards the struggle against inflation, unemployment and social injustice.” Attacking Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he said, “BJP government says it has no control over diesel and petrol prices. Then why do prices not increase at the time of elections? Why are the companies earning profits after the elections are over? The profit from petrol and diesel is going into the pockets of big industrialists.” He said, “Socialists have said in advance that the government will increase inflation after polls. BJP has done no work in public interest while being in the government.” AB GNK
