Mumbai, May 9: Actress Sonam Kapoor is currently enjoying the joy of becoming a mother for the second time. Since the birth of her son, everyone has been eager to know his name. On Saturday, the actress revealed her baby boy’s name.
Sonam shared several pictures on Instagram featuring herself, her husband Anand Ahuja, and their two children. She announced that they have named their younger son Rudralok Kapoor Ahuja. In her post, she expressed, “In the spirit of that divine force that has beautifully transformed our lives once again, we consider our second son, born on the auspicious day of Ekadashi, a special blessing from Lord Vishnu, as he brings a beautiful and divine connection with his elder brother.”
Explaining the meaning of her son’s name, she wrote, “In the Vedas, ‘Rudra’ signifies powerful and courageous. It represents the force that dispels sorrows and symbolizes new energy, healing, and transformation.”
She also connected her son’s name to that of her elder son. Sonam noted, “Rudra is also associated with air, symbolizing the life force that flows through every being. Our elder son is named Vayu Kapoor Ahuja, representing life and protection.”
The actress added, “With Rudra’s arrival, it feels like a beautiful balance has been achieved in our lives. Strength and peace, protection and transformation, all coexist. We pray that, like his name, Rudra grows to be fearless, kind, wise, and a beacon of light.
