Somi Ali Denies Affair Rumors Between Govinda and Karisma Kapoor
Somi Ali speaks out on the rumored affair between Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, stating she never heard any such gossip during her career.
Mumbai, October 12 (Daily Kiran) : In Mumbai, the iconic pairing of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, popular in the 1990s, has resurfaced in public discussions. Their on-screen chemistry sparked rumors about a romantic relationship, though these speculations were never officially confirmed.
Recently, Govinda’s personal life has come under scrutiny as his wife, Sunita Ahuja, made allegations regarding his alleged affair with co-star Komal Rani. Amidst this, actress Somi Ali, who worked with Govinda, has addressed the longstanding rumors of an affair between him and Karisma Kapoor.
In an exclusive interview, Somi Ali responded to the gossip surrounding Govinda and Karisma’s relationship. She stated, “I never heard any rumors about an affair between Chichi (Govinda) and Lolo (Karisma Kapoor).”
Somi added, “Salman Khan also worked with Karisma in several films, and they share a good friendship. However, I never heard anything about their affair either. I was a part of the film industry at that time, but I had no knowledge of any relationship between Govinda and Karisma.”
During the conversation, Somi emphasized her reluctance to comment on anyone’s personal life or relationships. “When someone chooses to be in a relationship, it’s their personal decision. I have no right to question or judge anyone’s choices,” she remarked.
She concluded, “I was present in the industry back then, and if there had been anything between Govinda and Karisma, I would likely have known about it. However, I didn’t hear anything. At that time, I was focused on understanding my own life.”
