Soha Ali Khans Journey from Corporate Sector to Advocacy for Womens Rights

Mumbai, March 10: Several members of the Pataudi royal family have made a name for themselves in acting, but they first completed their education and built a solid career foundation. Among them is actress Soha Ali Khan, who prioritized her studies and earned a strong degree before entering the film industry.

Soha Ali Khan studied at Oxford University and later obtained a master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics. After her education, she also worked in the corporate sector. On Monday, she shared on Instagram that her first job in 1999 was with Unifem.

In her video post, she stated, “My first salaried job in 1999 was with ‘Unifem’ in New Delhi. There, I was involved in empowering women economically and politically and working to end violence against them.”

Soha revealed that she has returned to this organization after 27 years. She wrote, “I am returning again after 27 years, but this time as an advocate for UMFPA, where I am raising my voice for reproductive health, menstrual health, gender equality, and the dignity of girls and women.”

She noted that the United Nations has always symbolized the power of collaboration for her. Here, nations and societies work together to protect people’s rights, opportunities, and choices. She added, “After becoming a mother, this belief has only strengthened. This mindset also guides my initiative ‘All About Her.’ Some journeys come full circle over time, but this time with more purpose and responsibility. So, let’s move towards this new beginning.”

Soha emphasized that the aim of this podcast is to empower women and discuss various aspects of their lives. The platform will explore women’s experiences, challenges, success stories, and topics related to women.
