Mumbai, March 30: Social media has become a significant platform for people to express their views. In this context, former Union Minister and actress Smriti Irani captured attention with a powerful response to her trolls.
On Monday, she shared a striking image on her Instagram account, showcasing herself in a vibrant yellow printed saree. Her confidence was evident in her expression.
Accompanying the photo, she wrote a thought-provoking caption that resonated with many. She stated, “Not everyone has the right to define someone or confine them to a name or identity. In today’s world, people often overestimate their importance and desire to be heard. However, sometimes individuals mistake their noise for influence, when in reality, it is merely background chatter.”
Irani directed a special message to those facing criticism, mockery, or negativity in any form. She emphasized, “If someone has been belittled repeatedly or hurt by others’ words, they must understand that others’ opinions do not determine their true identity. Often, those who attempt to bring others down harbor their own limitations, disappointments, and failures.”
In her caption, she further remarked, “Life is too short to live under the weight of others’ bitterness. Keep moving forward, stay happy, and stay on your path.”
Regarding her expression in the photo, she added, “There is no anger, confusion, or sense of defeat on my face. This face listens, understands, but does not let external opinions affect it. It is crucial to keep progressing.”
