New Delhi, October 29 (Daily Kiran) : Hinduism places great importance on the Panchang, a traditional calendar that guides auspicious activities, travel, investments, and religious rituals based on the positions of celestial bodies.
On October 30, 2026, which falls on a Friday, the Chaturthi Tithi of the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the moon) will be observed. This date holds special significance as it is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Devotees will observe Sankashti Ganesh Chaturthi, a fast believed to remove obstacles and bring prosperity to households.
According to the Panchang, the Chaturthi Tithi will last until 4:52 PM on that day, after which the Panchami Tithi will commence. The religious significance of Friday further enhances the day’s auspiciousness. The Aridra Nakshatra will be present until 1:12 AM, while the Vighat Yoga will last until 9:46 PM. Additionally, the Bava Karan will be in effect until 4:52 PM.
For those planning rituals, the auspicious time, or Abhijit Muhurat, is from 11:44 AM to 12:29 PM. However, the Rahu Kaal, a period during which new ventures are traditionally avoided, will occur from 10:44 AM to 12:09 PM. The Gulika Kaal will take place from 8:00 AM to 9:24 AM, and the Yamgand Kaal will be from 2:54 PM to 4:18 PM.
On this day, sunrise will occur at 6:20 AM, and sunset will be at 5:37 PM. The Chandroday will be at 9:18 PM, while the Chandraast will take place at 10:56 AM. It is advised to avoid travel in the west direction due to the presence of the directional Shool (a negative influence). If travel is necessary, it is recommended to take appropriate religious measures.
