
Jamshedpur, April 27: A railway employee was shot dead late Sunday night near the Railway Lobby Gate in the Bagbera police area of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community. Reports suggest that the attackers arrived well-prepared and fled the scene swiftly after the shooting.
According to eyewitnesses, two assailants on a motorcycle approached the railway employee and opened fire. The victim collapsed immediately, causing panic among those nearby. Courageous bystanders rushed the injured man to the railway hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival. The news of the shooting has created an atmosphere of fear and tension in the area.
Upon receiving information about the incident, City SP Lalit Meena arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Police recovered a shell casing from the site. Initial investigations indicate that the deceased was a resident of Adityapur, working in railway-related tasks and also involved in land dealings. Reports suggest he was responsible for leveling work at the railway parking area, leading police to explore the possibility of a business dispute or personal enmity as motives for the murder.
Authorities have begun reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to identify the attackers. Additionally, local inquiries have intensified. Officials assure that the suspects will be apprehended soon, and the case will be resolved.
