Greater Noida, February 27: A shocking incident has emerged from the village of Tushyana in Greater Noida, where a young man was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon during a well ritual. The atmosphere in the village is tense following the incident. The police acted swiftly, apprehending the accused and recovering the blood-stained weapon used in the murder.

The victim has been identified as Manoj, also known as Lalu, son of Omkar, a resident of Chathiya village in the Hardoi district. According to police reports, they received information about a body found in Tushyana village within the jurisdiction of the Ecotech-3 police station on February 26. Upon receiving the alert, a police team rushed to the scene to investigate.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a well ritual was being held at the home of Firi Ram, which Manoj attended. During the event, a dispute arose between Manoj and Jagveer Bhati, son of Ratiram Bhati, over an unspecified issue while they were eating.

It is alleged that Manoj insulted Jagveer during the argument, prompting Jagveer to leave in anger. Shortly after, Jagveer returned with a “bakka” (sharp weapon) looking for Manoj. The two confronted each other near a cart on the main road of the village. Initially, they engaged in a shoving match, but the situation escalated.

Reports indicate that during this confrontation, Jagveer struck Manoj on the head with the weapon. The severe injury resulted in Manoj’s immediate death at the scene. Police confirmed that there were deep wounds on the victim’s head, and he had not been crushed.

Upon receiving the report, police and field units arrived to gather evidence. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem after completing the necessary formalities. Jagveer Bhati has been detained, and the bloody weapon used in the murder has also been recovered. Authorities have registered a case under relevant sections and initiated further legal action. Officials stated that a thorough investigation is underway, and strict measures will be taken based on the evidence collected. The village remains in a state of fear, while police maintain vigilance over the situation.
