Shocking Incident in Lucknow: Son Allegedly Kills Father and Disposes of Body

Lucknow, February 23: A shocking revelation has emerged in the case of a missing person reported in the Ashiyana area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The individual who was reported missing was allegedly murdered by his own son.

According to police investigations, the missing person, identified as Mahavendra Singh, son of Surendra Pal Singh, resided in L-91 Sector L, Ashiyana, Lucknow. The police had been actively searching for him following the missing person’s report.

During the investigation, the son, Akshat Pratap Singh, aged approximately 21, was subjected to intense questioning. He confessed that on February 20, 2026, around 4:30 AM, a dispute arose between him and his father. In a fit of rage, he shot his father, resulting in immediate death.

Following the incident, the accused attempted to conceal the evidence. He reportedly moved the body from the third floor to an empty room on the ground floor. Allegations suggest that he later dismembered parts of the body and disposed of them near the Sadarouna area, while the remaining parts were hidden in a drum.

Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officials arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection. A forensic team was summoned to collect evidence. The accused has been taken into custody, and necessary questioning has commenced.

Based on the evidence gathered, the police have filed charges against the accused under relevant sections of the law. Family members of the deceased were also present at the scene. Authorities stated that a thorough investigation is ongoing, and more details will be revealed soon.

The police indicated that the son killed his father after being urged to participate in competitive examinations, which reportedly angered him.
