Shivpal-Akhilesh differences crop up in SP

Lucknow, March 29 : Samajwadi Party MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav, uncle of party president Akhilesh Yadav, is set to part ways and revive his own Pragatsheel Samajwadi Party Lohia(PSPL). Shivpal, who won the election from Jaswantnagar in Etawah on the symbol of Samajwadi Party is apparently angry with Akhilesh Yadav for not being invited to the meeting of the SP Legislature Party held on March 26, when Akhilesh was elected leader of the opposition. Shivpal was invited today at 1700 hrs along with other three leaders of the alliance by Akhilesh Yadav, but he did not turn up. Sources close to Shivpal Singh Yadav said that he will not attend the meeting of Akhilesh Yadav with Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, A a Dal Kameravadi and another party leader in Lucknow on Tuesday evening. Akhilesh Yadav has called a meeting of allies in the office of Samajwadi Party in which Shivpal Singh Yadav has not reached to participate. Shivpal Singh Yadav, who went from Etawah to New Delhi and met Mulayam Singh Yadav two days back, is presently in Etawah on Tuesday. He has not even taken oath as a member of the Legislative Assembly yet. SBSP president Om Prakash Rajbhar, who came to participate in this meeting, told the media, that Shivpal Yadav is with the Samajwadi Party and there is no confusion. But sources say that Shivpal was annoyed as he was not given the post of leader of the opposition as promised by Akhilesh Yadav before the polls. Due to this promise, Shivpal agreed to get just one seat for his party. “Our leader is in consultation with other leaders of the party for future course of action,” the sources said. MB RKM
