Shifa-ur-Rahman Granted Bail in Delhi Riot Case, Wife Thanks Supporters

New Delhi: Shifa-ur-Rahman, accused in the Delhi riot case, has been granted bail. His wife, Noreen Fatima, expressed her happiness and gratitude towards those who supported them during this challenging time.

Speaking to Daily Kiran, Noreen Fatima said, “I want to sincerely thank everyone who stood by us and prayed for Rahman. Today’s bail is the result of those prayers.”

She added that they had hoped for a positive outcome from the Supreme Court hearing. “After the disappointment we faced in the High Court, the day of the Supreme Court hearing felt like waiting for exam results. I am very thankful to Allah for this favourable outcome.”

Noreen also extended her heartfelt thanks to the Supreme Court and the legal team, especially advocates Salman and Bilal, who supported them throughout. “Their encouragement gave us hope that justice would prevail in the Supreme Court,” she said.

Recalling the moment she informed Rahman’s mother about the bail, Noreen said, “She started crying, and I was trembling too. This is a moment of immense joy that words cannot express.”

She further mentioned Rahman’s past participation in elections and the strong backing they received from the public. “People supported him wholeheartedly and prayed for him. Today’s bail is the outcome of those prayers. Allah has given us all great news. We will review the bail order and then decide the next steps,” she added.
