Mumbai, August 12: The ‘Scam’ franchise has carved a unique identity in the Indian OTT landscape. Launched in 2020, ‘Scam 1992’ presented the tale of the stock market and Harshad Mehta in a captivating manner, earning a special place among viewers.
Continuing this legacy, the makers are set to release ‘Scam 2010’. This time, the narrative will focus on the rise of a major business empire, the ambition behind it, and the arrogance that often accompanies success. National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta is once again taking the helm of this franchise.
Hansal Mehta has shared significant insights about the series. He stated, “This series is not merely about business success; it aims to explore ambition, power, influence, and the arrogance that follows success. It will also depict how circumstances can change when a person becomes overly confident in the world they have created.”
Siddharth Bodke plays the lead role in ‘Scam 2010’. He expressed enthusiasm for his character, highlighting its complex personality. The character embodies passion, strength, flaws, success, and ultimately, downfall, making it an intriguing experience for him.
Siddharth Bodke remarked, “What impressed me the most was the personality of my character. Portraying this role has been fascinating. It has been an exhilarating experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to play such a layered character under the guidance of a director like Hansal Mehta.”
Meanwhile, Deepak Sehgal, Chief Content Officer of Applause Entertainment, discussed the company’s vision and responsibility regarding the ‘Scam’ franchise. Currently, the shooting of ‘Scam 2010’ is underway. This series, directed by National Award-winning Hansal Mehta, is being produced collaboratively by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment. It will soon be available for streaming on Sony Liv.
