Mumbai: Sure Real Pictures has signed rising actor Satvik Bhatia as the lead in its debut global thriller film Liberation (2026). The film is directed by Ankit Kadam and produced by Sure Real Pictures and Kanishk Kadam, with co-production by Approach Entertainment and Sonu Tyagi.
Satvik Bhatia will be seen in the role of James, a troubled student dealing with inner conflict, rebellion and the search for identity. The actor is known for his performances in India Lockdown (2022), Made in Heaven Season 2 (2023) and Kota Factory Season 3 (2024).
The story of Liberation follows a privileged young man who drops out of school under family pressure and emotional distress. His dark journey and search for meaning form the core of the film’s narrative. The film will be released primarily in English, along with Hindi and other Indian languages.
Born in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, Satvik Bhatia made his film debut with India Lockdown and later played the lead in Kuch Sapney Apne (2024). He gained wider recognition through his roles in popular web series.
Producer Kanishk Kadam said that Satvik’s journey and acting depth match the emotional core of the film. Director Ankit Kadam said the actor’s emotional range makes him suitable for the role of James. Co-producer Sonu Tyagi also expressed confidence in Satvik’s performance.
The film is currently in production, with post-production work planned ahead of its release. Approach Communications is handling public relations, while Approach Bollywood is the official entertainment app partner.
