Mumbai, May 18: Maharashtra Assembly BJP MLA Sanjay Upadhyay has fully supported Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s appeal for financial assistance for families with a third or fourth child. He emphasized the need for the Hindu community to have more children to prevent population imbalance.
In an interview, Upadhyay stated, “We want Hindus to have more children. If the population imbalance continues and the Muslim population grows rapidly, it will alter the country’s demographics, affecting national security and character.”
He further remarked, “We believe in the government’s ‘We two, our two’ policy, while on the other hand, there are discussions about ‘four and our forty.’ The Andhra Pradesh government’s initiative to provide ₹30,000 for a third child and ₹40,000 for a fourth is commendable.”
Commenting on the NEET paper leak controversy, Upadhyay said, “The paper leak is unfortunate, but NEET and NTA have significantly reduced the fraud and corruption that previously plagued medical admissions. Some individuals want to end this process because they are no longer benefiting from corruption.”
He demanded that the NEET process should be stricter yet accessible for students, and those involved in any wrongdoing should face severe penalties.
Expressing pride in the statement made by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi regarding Pakistan, Upadhyay said, “All Indians take pride in our army. The Chief of Army’s statement is a source of pride for every Indian. It symbolizes the strength and valor of the Indian Army.”
Upadhyay welcomed the court’s decision in the Bhojshala case, calling it historically significant. He stressed that population policy should be viewed from a national security perspective. He urged the Hindu community to recognize their social and national responsibilities by having more children and providing them with quality education and values.
