Sanjay Raut Demands Probe into Ajit Pawar’s Tragic Death

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut described the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar as unfortunate and called for a thorough investigation into the incident. He emphasized the need to identify the lapses that led to this tragedy and urged authorities to make public the faults in the aircraft involved.

Speaking on Thursday, Raut said Ajit Pawar was one of Maharashtra’s most popular and influential leaders. “He will always be remembered. Losing him is an irreparable loss to the political landscape,” he added.

Raut also referred to the recent plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, which claimed several lives, including that of former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. “After such incidents, including this one where we lost Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, it becomes crucial to conduct a formal investigation and highlight the discrepancies that caused these unfortunate accidents,” he stated.

He criticized the practice of merely offering condolences in such cases. “Prime Minister, Chief Minister, and Home Minister may pay their respects, but what will that achieve? It is time to investigate these incidents seriously and take steps to correct any irregularities,” Raut asserted.

Highlighting previous aviation accidents over the last decade, Raut claimed that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has failed to take concrete action. “Though committees have been formed, no substantial facts or outcomes have been presented so far,” he added.

This call for accountability comes amid growing concerns over aviation safety and the need for transparent investigations into such fatal crashes involving prominent leaders.
