Sanjay Raut Declares Upcoming Political Changes Amidst Protests in Mumbai

Mumbai, October 3 (Daily Kiran) : Sanjay Raut, a member of the Rajya Sabha from Shiv Sena (UBT), emphasized that protests cannot be quelled by force. Speaking to the media in Mumbai, he stated, “Whether it’s sticks, bullets, or guns, you cannot stop us. The events at Jantar Mantar and the situation in Mumbai demonstrated this. Despite the oppressive measures, the youth united. People faced arrests and stood against the police. What can sticks do? Go ahead and fire bullets. You have already used bullets and pellet guns, yet the people do not back down. By January and February, significant changes will occur in the country.”

Raut’s remarks come in the wake of a protest at Shivaji Park on October 2, led by Abhijit Dipke, founder of the Cockroach People’s Party (CJP). The demonstration demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, raising concerns about the Election Commission’s processes, particularly regarding the revision of voter lists and transparency.

Despite the Mumbai police denying permission for the protest due to security and traffic concerns, a large number of supporters gathered at Shivaji Park. Raut accused the government of authoritarianism in response to the police’s actions.

Additionally, Raut praised Captain Smita Machhar for her bravery and decisive actions at high altitudes, stating, “This is commendable. Captain Smita Machhar has done exceptional work. Making such decisions 35,000 feet above ground and fighting against terrorism is significant. She is an Indian, not tied to any particular state.” He expressed that her courage is a point of pride for the entire nation.
